Education: Muhlenberg College
First Job: In high school, I worked at Kadar Orthodontics. I would clean and sterilize all of the dental equipment, clean workstations, and occasionally deliver blueberries or other treats to the neighboring dental offices.
First “Real” Job: Out of college, I worked at KPMG in their audit practice. The experience provided me with great technical skills and a true understanding of the importance of hard work.
Essential Business Philosophy: Always lead with integrity. Trust is something that is hard to gain but easy to lose.
Best way to keep a competitive edge: Continue to learn and adapt. Industry standards are always changing, if you are not adapting to those changes, others will.
Yardstick of success: Leading a high performing team who is viewed as a place to go for answers.
Goal yet to be achieved: Build out the accounting and finance function to scale with IMS as we continue to grow.
Best Decision: Moving on from a job that I felt comfortable in to work for a start-up. That allowed me to make valuable connections during my tenure and eventually led me to joining IMS.
Worst Decision: There are probably too many to count but they have taught me some of the best lessons in life so far. The worst decision I could make would be not learning from a mistake.
Toughest Decision: Leaving teams that I have built a strong professional and personal relationship with to pursue another opportunity.
Mentor: My parents have always been my mentors and still are. They constantly provide me with advice and insights that shape who I am today.
Personal Interests: I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter, going to the beach, cheering on the Phillies and Eagles, and playing golf.
